So, When Normalcy Knocks is being available for a few months now, I’m aware that I didn’t promote it much before and there’s a reason for it.
I was being lazy, and the previous cover didn’t agree with me, and it took me some time to get back to it, fix it and present you with a new short story and cover that I would make me say, ah yes, here it is, you should read this romance short story.
When Normalcy Knocks is book #0.5 in the Among Others Series, book 1 in this series is Living Among Others, which was my first book even published, and that was in 2015, wow! Almost ten years ago? I cannot believe it, but it wasn’t until I published on Kindle in 2020 that it really got some notice, so thank you for that. For a time, it had a ranking on Kindle, but not anymore because the heat cooled. But that’s not the point, and no, I don’t get discouraged by that because someday it’ll all pick up, hope is the last thing you lose.
But about this story, When Normalcy Knocks, is all about that first love, first sight, slow burn feels that makes you want to turn the page until you get to the good part, lol. And yes, there are some spicy scenes. Here is the description of it:
Normal? Normal was a joke that others threw in her face every time they accomplished something without knowing what she had gone through since her sister was kidnapped when she was young, and her whole life was tossed into disarray. But since Cecile met the handsome, very normal guy at the hotel, she tried to deny the immediate attraction she felt towards someone who didn’t know about Others living among humans.
Cecile Ayon is a bit dark, but she is the same sister who was worried about Alexis on Living Among Others, and convinced her to go out with Ezekiel, the sexy Incubus.
Now, in her own story, Cecile is fresh out of college and trying to find a new job, she doesn’t know Ezekiel yet, or her future love as this is set roughly three-four years or so before the events in LAO.
I had fun writing When Normalcy Knocks. It was meant as a holiday, Christmas special one, and it sort end up that way. I think the spirit of it is there. And on that note, I decided to publish a special edition on Kindle, which you can pre-order now, it has an extra scene and it will be available this December.
