Favourite Genres in Books? Anyone?

Today, I have a quick one, what about favourite genres? 📖

The question is vast, and one could go on in detail about their favourite genre in books, I mean, we all have them, right? It is not just me, I hope.

I was inspired for this one after chatting with fellow book readers, they asked me about my favourite, and obviously, I went with Fantasy because I love it. You might think it is romance, but that’s more of an inclination when writing. If it’s about reading, I always go Fantasy and Romance, yes, but if you look at my bookshelves, you will find it fool of fantasy books.

Now, yes, there are also aliens, paranormal, time-travel, dystopia, and sci-fi, and all of those I love as well, thrown in a bit of romance, and you hook me.

As for what I don’t read? I would say none, but at the same time, I don’t usually buy self-help books, memoirs, autobiographies or non-fiction. I could read one of those but it is not my go-to because if I wanted real life, I’d look around me or into my life, and I prefer escaping into another world, it’s therapeutic for me.

I enjoy writing about fantasy as well, I consider myself a fantasy/romance writer, but this is about the reading community. So, what’s your favourite genre? What are some of the books that you buy without thinking it twice?
