Hey, Lovelies!
How’s it going? Are you writing a lot? Or creating a lot? I’m glad if you are.
I’m going through a writer’s block episode that I don’t even know how, when or why it started, I was writing fine, and suddenly I noticed that I stopped.
I think it’s because my mind is on my bank balance, and how it’s approaching zero but that’s another matter for another time.
So, about my writing or rather lack of it, what do I intend to do about it? What I usually do is re-read books I love. I had started reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, first time, but that’s not going forward anytime soon and even less with this dry time in my writing; another thing I do when there are no ideas flowing, is re-read my own writing, thinking of other book ideas, listening to music, trying not to think too much about the fact that I’m not writing because then, I will really write absolutely nothing, zilch will come out of my hands. I’m writing here about not writing a book rather than actually writing it, so you get how it goes, btw, I’m making so many facial expressions while typing this.
But, this isn’t the first time this happens to me, only I’m more aware and a little annoyed this time since I had been writing nonstop for months, and I managed to finish a short story and start the sequel for it (yes, I’m talking about Coveted Hearts), and now, I want to translate some stories I have in Spanish, and that is going a little okay, not 100% but is going.
How about you, lovelies? I know I don’t have many followers on this blog, but I appreciate you all, as well as those who follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
But among my fellow creators, how often do you experience a block? How do you deal with it?
Let me know, maybe I’ll get some tips here or perhaps you got one from me about getting out of the writer’s block or any kind of block.
