And then I begun.
For the story in the making, I first had the dream that made me say: I could write that, then I wrote down the map for it, what each chapter or a few chapters would be like, the main points, what I could remember of the dream and some added things that came to me while I wrote that. And then I left it there for a few weeks, afterwards it kept bugging at me, asking me to write it in the back of my head, and I knew I had to begin no matter what. So I did.
Halfway through it, well, by then the characters decided to take a couple of turns and do whatever they wanted, so I had no other choice than to change and add things that were not in the original layout, and there I am, writing bit by bit what is to come next, and sometimes seeing ahead of time and knowing that is where the story is heading, if only you keep on writing and you do, because there is nothing else you can do. Write.
Writers will write and write until the story reaches a point that you know is the end of it, or simply that it should be, and then continue it in another book when something else comes to mind. A writer’s mind can be such a vast universe that it would be difficult to just contain the characters to one little corner, every aspect must be written, all pieces of the puzzle should fall into place and make sure everything makes sense before you know it, because the whole time that was what was meant to happen.
So yes, writers are going to write. No matter what, try not to push us because the end result would be very different if it turns out we try to force the words out. Thank you for keeping up, I am half done with this one, or so I think but once it is completely done you will be the first to know. If you write and feel the same, let me know. I love to hear from fellow writers.
